Can a single buy HDB in Singapore?

For New Flats and Resale Prime flats, singles can purchase 2-room Flexi flats from HDB and 2-room resale Prime flats.
For Resale Standard, Plus, or non-Standard/Prime/Plus Flats, singles can purchase all flat types (excluding 3Gen flats) in any location.

Eligible singles who are buying their first home can tap grants of up to $60,000 under the Enhanced Central Provident Fund Housing Grant (EHG) when they purchase a new flat. Those buying resale flats can also receive the EHG, as well as up to $40,000 from the CPF Housing Grant, and up to $15,000 from the Proximity Housing Grant.

From mid-2025, singles applying for BTO flats will get priority access when they buy a home near or with their parents.
