Can single Singaporeans buy a HDB flat in Singapore

Absolutely! Single Singaporeans aged 35 and above can purchase HDB flats. They can buy 2-room Flexi flats from HDB and 2-room resale Prime flats. For Resale Standard, Plus, or non-Standard/Prime/Plus Flats, singles can purchase all flat types (excluding 3Gen flats) in any location.

Eligible singles buying their first home can receive grants of up to $60,000 under the Enhanced Central Provident Fund Housing Grant (EHG) for new flats. Those buying resale flats can also receive the EHG, up to $40,000 from the CPF Housing Grant, and up to $15,000 from the Proximity Housing Grant.

From mid-2025, singles applying for BTO flats will get priority access when they buy a home near or with their parents.
