Do I have to pay ABSD by cash?

When purchasing a new launch condo while owning an HDB, you are required to pay the Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) in full within the specified timeframe, which is typically 14 days if the Sales and Purchase Agreement is signed in Singapore, or 30 days if signed overseas.
ABSD cannot be included in the home loan amount and must be paid separately. You can pay ABSD using various methods such as PayNow QR, internet banking fund transfer, GIRO, cheque, or cashier’s order, but it must be paid in full and not in installments.
While you can use your Central Provident Fund (CPF) savings for other costs associated with the property purchase, ABSD itself must be paid in cash or through other approved payment methods, not through CPF.
