Foreigners can buy the following types of properties in Singapore:
- Private condominiums
- Private ECs (i.e. an executive condominium that is more than 10 years old)
- Landed properties in Sentosa Cove
- Landed properties outside of Sentosa Cove, if granted special permission from SLA
For purchasing residential-zoned shophouses, foreigners will need to get approval from the Land Dealings Approval Unit (LDAU). However, no approval is needed for purchasing commercial shophouses.
