How is the household income ceiling for HDB BTO in Bidadari calculated?

The income ceiling depends on whether you’re applying for a 3-room or a 4-room (or bigger) flat, and whether you’re buying with extended or multi-generation family members. Bidadari is generally considered a mature estate. For a 3-room flat in a mature estate, your average gross monthly household income must not exceed $14,000. For a 4-room or bigger flat, it must not exceed $14,000 (or $21,000 if you’re buying with extended family).
HDB calculates your average gross monthly household income by adding up the total household income over the last 12 months and dividing by 12, with the assessment period ending about two months before you submit your HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) application.
