I am a PR, but husband on EP. Can I buy a HDB resale flat

If you are a Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) and your husband is on an Employment Pass (EP), you are not eligible to purchase a resale HDB flat together. To qualify for a resale HDB flat as a PR household, all buyers and listed occupiers must have PR status for at least three years, and you must form a family nucleus with either another PR or a Singapore Citizen. Since your husband is on an EP and not a PR or Citizen, the application will not meet HDB’s eligibility criteria for PR households.

In summary, a PR–EP couple cannot jointly buy a resale HDB flat. If either of you becomes a Singapore Citizen or if your husband obtains PR and both of you have held PR status for at least three years, you would then be eligible to purchase a resale HDB flat as a family nucleus.
