Interest rate

The interest rate for mortgages can vary. For residential properties, the medium-term interest rate is 3.5%, while for non-residential properties, it is 4.5% or the prevailing interest rate, whichever is higher.

For HDB housing loans, the interest rate is pegged at 0.1% above the CPF Ordinary account interest rate and is revised quarterly in January, April, July, and October.

Mortgage interest rates can be fixed, flexible, or a combination of both over the loan duration.
