If the property is being leased, you must obtain a Letter of Consent from the landowner. This applies whether the property is leased from the Housing Development Board (HDB), the Singapore Land Authority, or other government bodies like the Jurong Town Corporation.
The tenant or the appointed agent making the application must secure prior written consent from the property owner. This ensures that the landowner is aware and agrees to the proposed change in the use of the property.
The Letter of Consent from the landowner should be included as part of the supporting documents when submitting the change of use application via the GoBusiness Licensing portal or through other specified channels.
