In Yishun, several significant developments are outlined in the upcoming URA Master Plan:

New Housing Area in Chencharu

A new housing area in Yishun, known as Chencharu, is being developed near Khatib MRT Station. This area will see the construction of approximately 10,000 new homes, with at least 80% of these being public housing. The first Build-to-Order (BTO) project, comprising 1,200 units of two-room Flexi to five-room flats, is scheduled to be launched in June.

Yishun Integrated Transport Hub and Springleaf MRT

The area will benefit from the opening of the Yishun Integrated Transport Hub and the new Springleaf MRT station, enhancing connectivity and accessibility for residents.

Chong Pang City

Chong Pang City, a 0.9ha, seven-storey integrated project, is set for completion in 2027. This community hub will feature modern amenities such as swimming pools, jogging tracks, fitness studios, a gym, and retail outlets, including a supermarket. The existing Chong Pang Market and Food Centre will be transformed into a vibrant community plaza.

Round Island Route (RIR) and Park Connectors

The Round Island Route (RIR), a 150km park connector, will provide Yishun residents with new ways to explore nature spots across the island. Additionally, an expansion of the Lower Seletar Reservoir Park (Rower’s Bay) park connector will offer extended waterfront enjoyment and enhanced reservoir vistas.

Healthcare and Educational Facilities

Yishun will continue to benefit from existing healthcare facilities like Yishun Community Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. The town also offers a range of educational institutions, providing convenience for families with children.

These developments aim to enhance the living environment in Yishun, making it a more attractive and accessible place to live, with improved amenities, connectivity, and community facilities.
