Light industrial building is defined as an industrial building where the processes or machinery involved can be installed in a residential area without causing issues such as noise, vibration, smell, fumes, smoke, soot, ash, dust, or grit. It also includes buildings used for any industrial use classified as “light industry” by the Director of Environmental Pollution Control.
