What is an executive condominium

An Executive Condominium (EC) is a form of housing developed for Singaporeans, particularly young graduates and professionals who can afford more than an HDB flat but find private property out of reach. Comparable in design and facilities to private condominiums, it is fully developed and sold by private developers. EC units are subject to certain ownership restrictions for the first five years, then become partially privatised. From the 11th year onwards, they are fully privatised, and foreigners may purchase them.
