Buyers and sellers who use HDB’s solicitors must go to one resale completion appointment. At this appointment, the seller hands over the keys so that the buyer can take possession of the flat. The seller must have cleared any outstanding payments, ended any GIRO arrangements, and vacated the flat so it is ready for the buyer. The buyer must check that the flat is acceptable and, if using an HDB loan, show proof of Fire Insurance purchase before taking over. This finalizes the transaction and completes the resale process.
