What is the holding period for an EC

The holding period for an Executive Condominium (EC) is as follows:

- EC units can only be sold to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents after 5 years from the date of the Temporary Occupation Permit. This is known as partial privatisation.
- ECs get fully privatised from the 11th year onwards, and can then be sold to foreign buyers.

Essential occupiers must continue to live in the unit during the Minimum Occupation Period (MOP).
