When will Paya Lebar Air Base (71189) be shifted?

The Paya Lebar Air Base is expected to be decommissioned and relocated around 2030. The relocation process is part of a larger plan to free up the 800 hectares of land for residential, commercial, and recreational developments. The expansion works at Tengah Air Base and Changi Air Base are currently ongoing to prepare for the eventual relocation of the Republic of Singapore Air Force's assets from Paya Lebar Air Base.

The development of the new town on the site of the airbase will be carried out progressively over the next two to three decades, allowing for flexibility and adjustments as needed. This transformation will include the creation of a regional centre with housing, offices, factories, and parks, and will also incorporate elements of the airbase's history into the new development.
