Who is responsible for paying the commission

In a private residential property transaction, the seller is responsible for paying the commission to the salesperson he has engaged for the sale of the property. In a resale HDB flat transaction, the buyer and seller each pay commission to their respective salespersons. In some cases, a salesperson may represent the buyer/tenant with the commission paid by the seller/landlord if agreed upon by all parties.
